Biannual License Renewal begins July 1st of every even numbered year and concludes September 30th. To renew your Ohio license, please log into your eLicense Ohio account. Renewal of your psychologist license requires submission of renewal application, renewal fee, and confirmation from OPA or OSPA of Continuing Education Credits.

2022 Renewal MCE Requirements and Proration

If Licensed Prior to 10/1/2020:

Requires 23 hours (4 Ethics*) by 8/31/2022 for 2022 Renewal

CE hours must be completed between 10/1/2020 and 8/31/2022

If Licensed between 10/1/2020 and 9/30/2021:

Requires 13 hours (4 Ethics*) by 8/31/2022 for 2022 Renewal

CE hours must be completed between 10/1/2020 and 8/31/2022

If Licensed between 10/1/2021 and 12/31/2021:

No MCE required but must Renew in 2020 and complete 23 hours for 2024

If Licensed after 1/1/2022 but before 10/1/2022:

No MCE or Renewal Required; 23 hours (4 ethics*) required for 2024 Renewal

*No fewer than four hours in ethics, professional conduct, and/or the role of culture and/or ethnic identity in the provision of psychological services.*
